Press Freedom and Censor

Internet makes it possible to have easy access to press from various countries to hear different opinions on Pros and Cons. However, when it comes to the U.S. and American economy I feel that foreign press comments on developments which impact the economy are frequently tinted. And maybe it is jealousy of the small and fragile economies or maybe it is the powerlessness of many economies which are constantly struggling for keeping up standards and policies.

What I am trying to say is: due to the U.S. being a superpower it is that whatever the U.S. does has an impact on the economy of other countries. And it does not help much that the press in countries other than the U.S. frequently tries to trivialize whatever is going on in the U.S.; there appears to be no escape from U.S. influenced economical and political living and working conditions.

Whenever it came to major worldwide economic breakdown: the initiation point came from the U.S.; what is the rest of mankind going to do?  All becoming American?  Or smile at and hope for every single nitty-gretty backslash in American economy?

A recently published song says something like "all my life watching America" - if it comes to being present in the press and in the minds of people America is constantly pushing forward. But is this to the welfare of the American people?  What does it bring the average American citizen that a growing number of people worlwide identify every American commoner with the Superpower and expect him or her to act and deal accordingly?
